Despite a 32-0 setback, the Erie Illusion effort against the powerful Pittsburgh Passion last Saturday ranks as one of Erie’s strongest performances in recent history against a Tier I, Independent Women’s Football League opponent. Erie, a Tier II entry in the IWFL, the top women’s full-contact women’s football league in the world, will now face a string of three Tier II teams as they try to fight their way to the top of the Eastern Conference.

Illusion Shares Holiday Spirit, Invite More Women to Join Team

In between Wednesday workouts, team events and life in general, members of the Erie Illusion found time to help the Erie City Mission tune up for the holiday season. Stringing lights and decorating trees has become a team tradition as the ladies gather at the Mission on the Monday after Thanksgiving to help trim for the season. In the photo to the right, team members take time to pause for a photo by the Mission tree.
Reavis, Swick, Kephart, Schaeffer, Leet, Polinick Named All-Stars

Illusion coach James Reavis and Martha Swick were named to the First-team Eastern All-Star squad announced today by the IWFL. Along with Swick and Reavis, Michelle Kephart, Corinne Schaeffer, Tracy Leet and Brandy Polinick were named alternates to the squad which will compete against the Western All-Stars during the IWFL Championship Weekend of July 24, 2009 in Round Rock, Texas. Kick-off for the All-Star game is scheduled for 10 am on Sun., July 26, 2009.
Illusion hosts Detroit in 1st Annual "Pink Game" at Vet's Stadium

Join the Illusion this Saturday at Erie Veteran's Stadium as Erie launches its First Annual "Pink Game." Kick off for the game against the Detroit Demolition is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The game will be Erie's final home contest of the season.

Join the Erie Illusion Women's Football Team tonight at 7 p.m. at Tullio Field on the campus of Mercyhurst College as the Erie ladies look to post their first win of the season. After dropping two defensive struggles in its first two contests of the season, the Illusion hope to provide its loyal fans with a win tonight. Erie owns a 4-0 lifetime record against the Vipers who will arrive in town with an 0-2 season mark.
